The Four Stages of Hell

To get into Arcani, you must pass a series of trials known as the Four Stages of Hell. These trials are designed to test all aspects of your gameplay abilities. The details of each stage will not be revealed to you until you have passed the previous one, and you must wait 72 hours between each stage. Should you fail a given stage, you must wait a week before attempting it again. If you fail the same stage twice, you will fail your application and you will have to wait a month before you can re-apply. During your trials, the officers will assess you to determine whether you have what it takes to become an Arcani Samurai.

What constitutes a suitable candidate?

First and foremost, a successful candidate will have a great attitude and display a reasonable amount of maturity at all times. I specify "reasonable" as we do like to have quite a bit of fun while we game. Age is not a prerequisite here, but a certain degree of maturity is.

Battlefield prowess is a very persuasive characteristic in an applicant, and a certain level of skill is necessary for the passing of the Four Stages of Hell. However, if your attitude is exemplary, we are willing to accept recruits based on that alone. Keep in mind however, that progression in the clan is dependent on battlefield skills. So while it is possible to become a member with a low degree of skill, reaping the rewards of progressing through Arcani's ranks will require motivation. Applicants are not expected to be elite veterans, but we are looking for warriors with big potential and the will to learn.

What happens if you are accepted?

Over your first few months in the clan you will be given the benefit of the best training regiment in all of Total War.

Our training regiment has been honed for over 5 years. We employ a mixture of casual and structured gaming that is designed to turn any motivated gamer into a world class Total Warrior quickly and efficiently. Once you are confirmed as a full Samurai-ranked member, you will be allowed access to the Codex, our store of strategic secrets. You will also have your own personalised "Training Profile" which is updated regularly by the officers. Our trainers will use a combination of on-field play and off-field documentation to give yourself insight into your own shortcomings as well as ways to better manipulate gameplay mechanics. Streaming video tutorials, text based analysis of your gameplay, as well as organized and purpose-driven training will each serve to raise your level of gameplay without sacrificing our core principle of having fun while doing so.
